Over the summer I had the total privilege of traveling to Rakiura - Stewart island and spending a few days in it's company. One of the many things that captured my attention was the calls of the Rakiura population of 'Nestor meridionalis', the southern Kaka. They're super-docile and constantly seen in the bush surrounding halfmoon bay calling to each other in the bush there.
The Kaka take guest-vocals on this track and I hope you love it; Four and half minutes of 'midday halfmoon bay'. Thanks again everyone who supports this project. The cover image is the native 'bamboo orchid' Winika, (Dendrobium cunninghamii) which was flowering on Ulva island during our stay.
